COURSE DESCRIPTION

Enter the park at the main entrance
-
Go straight at the park entrance and continue about half a mile to the parking lot at the end of the road
-
This is where you will park for the race and also the location for one of the two aid stations on race day

From the parking lot follow the paved trail to the East towards the new bridge that crosses over Mound Creek

RACE COURSE
-
10-mile and 20-mile races will start here.

The 50k race starts just South of the parking lot
-
50k runners will start and head East to where the other distances are starting and then stay the course the rest of the race.

Each loop will be approximately 700 feet elevation gain.

Take the bridge and head north which will connect you to the Mound Creek Trail
-
The Mound Creek Trail winds around the North end of the park to the campground
-
Follow the campground road, past the park office and group camping sites and back to the parking lot where you started from.

AID STATION 1
-
Now head south on the Mound Trail following along the fence line of the Bison Range.

Take this all the way to the Western Loop Trail where you will take a right and do the western loop.

Coming out of that loop you will be heading east past Eagle Rock.

About .3 past Eagle Rock will be a little connecting trail you take south to meet up with the Upper cliff line Trail.

Take a right and head back towards the Rock Alignment and the old visitors center (Manfred House).

AID STATION 2

From here take the Burr Oak Trail all the way until it connects to the paved bike trail by a vault toilet.

Run the bike trail about .5 miles then take a left up towards the cliff line.

Once at the base of the cliff line take the trail going left.

This trail will take you back up to the Upper cliff line Trail. Follow this heading North.

You will come across a trail on your right that will take you back down to the Lower cliff line Trail.

Take this headed north which will bring you back to the Start/Finish area.
